Naturopathic Medicine
A Different Approach
Unfortunately, sometimes our symptoms don’t fit into a diagnosis box, and we are left suffering with no answers. This is where naturopathic doctors excel. We act as detectives, taking into consideration all aspects of our patients health (not just the physical), to help identify what could be contributing to the disease process. We strive to discover the root of the problem and to restore the natural balance and function of the body, avoiding the masking of symptoms. Our treatment toolbox is extensive and includes diet and nutrition, lifestyle, functional, eastern, and our western allopathic tools. See here for more information.
Are ND's the same thing as homeopaths?
No. Homeopathy is a modality used by some practitioners, (just like acupuncture, massage, physiotherapy etc) and while Naturopathic Doctors learn some homeopathy in school, our education and training goes way beyond that. Homeopathic doctors soley practice the modality of homeopathy and are not trained in any other aspects of medicine. Naturopathic Doctors are trained in many modalities as well as the Western Sciences and medicine.

Who Can Benefit
Patients with mysterious, vague, or unexplained symptoms. Many have seen countless practitioners and doctors, which have been unable to explain or improve their condition.
Those looking for general wellness and health guidance. A practitioner who can treat, coach, and hold them accountable to their goals to create lasting change.
Those who are suffering with chronic disease, and looking for an alternative or adjunctive therapies for their current therapies. Naturopathic medicine is a powerful adjunctive to more invasive treatments and can improve quality of life in those suffering from long term conditions.
Patients that are looking to combine conventional and naturopathic treatments with the aim of minimizing side effects of drugs, surgery or conventional treatments.
Principles of Naturopathic Medicine
Non Harm
Your medicine should not be toxic, or make you more sick. I use powerful but safe tools to support your body as it restores balance and reverses the disease process.
Nature as Teacher
Whether using more traditional or conventional treatments, a respect for the healing power of nature is at the core of what I do.
Root Cause
Permanent change requires identifying and rectifying the root cause of disease. With each patient, we'll go through a complete history, relevant physical exams, and comprehensive lab work as needed. This helps identify and support the problems where they originate, creating a more permanent foundation for health.
Individual Medicine
Medicine is not one-size-fits all. Everybody is different, and every body is different. What works for one person might not work for another. All of my patients receive customized treatment plans curated to support their own unique goals and requirements.
Evidence Based
I use a combination of clinical experience as well as the latest medical research to build my treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive and up to date protocols. I do my best to educate my patients. I want them to know how powerful and capable they really are. I hope to inspire you to learn about your body, and create a stronger connection with your body.
Sustainable
By educating and empowering my patients to build a foundation for health, I aim to create permanent lifestyle changes and community to act as a foundation for lasting health and wellness.
